Dear Fluent City community,
Happy New Year to you all! I hope your holidays were wonderful and full of time spent with families, friends, and loved ones. It’s a New Year—and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come. But before we dive into 2017, it’s an important time to reflect on last year and everything that we have learned.
2016 was an exciting time for all of us here. Fluent City received a huge makeover and revealed a vibrant, new look. We launched brand new language courses like Spanish & French Essentials and Progressions, focused on our radical approach to language learning and built for conversation. We created and wrote twenty of our own books to go along with our teaching methodology.
We also launched brand new courses in exciting new topics like cocktail-making, interior design, and French culture. Our family of amazing language instructors from across the world grew to over 300 and we welcomed almost 4,000 new students into our community.
As we begin the New Year, we’d like to ask ourselves some challenging questions. How can we improve our language courses? How can we build an even better, stronger community? How can we more effectively share our message of diversity and inclusivity—especially during difficult times?
Of course, we would be nothing without all of you—each and every one of you inspire me on a daily basis to keep learning about the world and to live a multi-dimensional life.
And so, while we have some big things planned this year, I’d love to hear your input on what you would like to see this year. If you have any thoughts at all on how we can improve or ideas on changes that you would like to see in 2017, please don’t hesitate to let me and the team know.
Here’s to the New Year and new beginnings. We have lots to look forward to.
Wishing you all the best,
James Rohrbach
