The language learning experience is exciting, frustrating, challenging and refreshing all at once. Some people have a natural aptitude for languages. I unfortunately, do not. Here are the feels I have felt while learning Italian this summer:
WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR CLASS
I AM GOING TO SPEAK ITALIAN. I just signed up for an Italian class and this is going to be so fun.
FIRST DAY NERVES
What do I wear? Why do I even care what I wear? What will the students be like in my class? Do I have the right book? Will I be able to keep up? AGGHHH.
**WHEN THE TEACHER INTRODUCES HIMSELF IN ITALIAN
**
Woah there. Let’s start in English for five minutes, okay?
WHEN YOU SPOT A CUTE STUDENT
You’re cute. Language partners?
WHEN ASKED SOMETHING YOU MAY KNOW
Wait, I think I’ve actually got that one.
AND THEN ASKED SOMETHING YOU DEFINITELY DON’T REMEMBER
Nope, that’s the word for hamster.
WHEN YOU GET A QUESTION RIGHT
I AM THE CHAMPION OF THE UNIVERSE. Yaaasssss.
WHEN YOU DIDN’T DO YOUR HOMEWORK
Please don’t call on me.
AND WHEN YOU ACTUALLY DID IT
I have finally done my exercises. Make today the day I shine.
AND FINALLY, WHEN YOU WANT TO SHOW OFF TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS
*Guys, I learned words! *
